Playtime and technique improvement on the Avon from Tithe Barn, SUP & Canoe
Comment by @JonnyC on Tuesday 19 July 2022
Given the relative proximity of Bradford on Avon to my workplace, a plan was hatched to RV there after work. We launched the SUP and the Canoe and pootled around avoiding the club rowers.

Danka and Noemi shared the SUP and took it in turns to be at the helm. Before long they were headed down river and I had to pull fairly hard to catch them.

We enjoyed the evening sun as we paddled down to Avoncliff weir, stopping for a short Recce before heading back (towing the SUP for a short while). Good progress has been made on standing and paddling (not Jon, he just sat on his bottom in the Canoe the whole time). Noemi benefitted from being chauffeured back upstream, trying her hand at stand up Canoeing. We even managed a paddler exchange from SUP to Canoe whilst floating.

Egress saw the loss of one of the fins into the drink, not to be solved by a thorough search, it was chalked up to being a 'story'.
